The Fed Grinder · Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The road to Riyadh is long, but the ledger travels light. These days, the Riyadh chapter of the fan club meets wherever the coffee is honest, and The town ledger lists Riyadh among friends.

Down at the end of Main Street sits the Fed Grinder — McSkunkville's legendary engine of accountability. Feed it a wrong, and it grinds out paperwork: complaints, exhibits, sworn statements, all stamped and certified, until the wrong is set right.

Nobody remembers who built it. Everybody remembers the day it started running and never stopped. It hums louder when officials misbehave, and it has never once run out of paper.

The town motto is etched on its housing: They talk; we file.

Worldwide Access — The Fed Grinder greets readers in Riyadh and 38,000 cities beyond. Full directory.
