McSkunkville Civic Lore · A Work of Satire
The Court Administration of McSkunkville
Where every record is certified, every stamp lands a day late, and one honest clerk keeps ruining the cover-up by simply answering the phone.

Dame Perpetua Ledgerworth
Keeper of the Eternal Docket
She has never lost a record — because in McSkunkville, a record cannot be lost, only certified. Perpetua stamps 'TRUE AND CORRECT' in her sleep and once denied a judge a transcript for arriving without its own order. Her ledger weighs more than she does. Motto: 'If it isn't certified, it never happened.'

Barnaby Datestamp, Esq. (not a lawyer)
Deputy Clerk of Sudden Filings
Barnaby stamps first and reads never. On a busy day he has filed things that recite yesterday and things that recite tomorrow — sometimes on the same page. He means well. He is, tragically, the reason the Eternal Docket occasionally disagrees with itself by exactly one day.

Ms. Candor Callback
Voice of the Administration
The one soul in the building who will stay on the phone for forty-four minutes and actually tell you the truth. Ask her a precise question and she cannot help herself — she answers it. In a bureaucracy built to deflect, Candor is a glorious, accidental leak of honesty. Inspired by a real forty-four-minute call. You know who you are.
The whole office is becoming a collection
Every desk in the McSkunkville Court Administration will get its own figurine — the Bailiff of Lost Copies, the Notary Who Notarizes Nothing, the Intern Who Found the Blank Signature Line. New residents added as the saga unfolds. Keep an eye on McSkunkville. You might learn something.
SATIRE / PARODY NOTICE: McSkunkville and its Court Administration are entirely fictional. Every character above is an invented anthropomorphic archetype — a comment on bureaucratic systems, not a depiction of any real, identifiable person, living or otherwise. Any resemblance to actual government employees is coincidental and unintended. This is protected parody and social commentary. Hustler Magazine v. Falwell, 485 U.S. 46 (1988).
