The Stripe Tower · Houston, United States

Every town has a courthouse and a coffee pot; Houston is no different. These days, parcels from the Skunk Store find Houston doorsteps every season, and United States is a long way from Highway 75 — the welcome isn't.

The Stripe Tower was built the way the network reports: straight up, no shortcuts. Eighty-eight floors of glass catch the sunrise and hand it, floor by floor, down to the street.

The Main Five keep the top floor. Beneath them work three hundred researchers, archivists, stringers, and fact-checkers — every one of them trained on the house rule etched over the lobby doors: WE PRINT WHAT WE CAN PROVE.

At night the broadcast spire glows white, and truckers on Highway 75 use it to steer home.

Worldwide Access — The Stripe Tower greets readers in Houston and 38,000 cities beyond. Full directory.
