Ramrod
Law School

Here's the deal, stated plainly: you'll owe us nothing, and we'll give you no degree. We can't — and we won't pretend. What you'll get instead is the work: everything a Harvard 1L does, ramrodded tight, tough and rough but quick — three years of law school compressed into twelve modules you can run as fast as your spine allows. Finish them all, keep your attendance, and this school issues you something rarer than a diploma: a recommendation.

Progress

Attendance

1 day

Attendance is taken every day you show up. The school notices. The recommendation mentions it.

Tough & rough

Socratic drills in the Moot Court. A bench that interrupts. A prosecutor who screams. You will be embarrassed here so you cannot be embarrassed out there.

Quick & easy to run

No semesters, no waitlists, no $200,000 note. Twelve modules, each with a room in this building already built for it. The time it takes to make a lawyer was always mostly furniture.

Programmed to pass

We intelligently designed the sequence so the law imprints — read, drill, write, argue, verify. Run it honestly and you will always know law.

The Twelve Ramrods

Ramrod 01

Civil Procedure — The Machine

Jurisdiction, venue, Rule 12, Rule 56. You learn the machine before you touch the controls.

Study the arsenal

Ramrod 02

Torts — Duty & Breach

Negligence to intentional torts to §1983's constitutional-tort cousin.

Study the arsenal

Ramrod 03

Contracts — The Promise

Offer, acceptance, consideration, breach, remedy. Read like a lawyer, not a customer.

Study the arsenal

Ramrod 04

Criminal Law — Elements

Every crime is a checklist. The State must check every box. Learn the boxes.

Know your rights

Ramrod 05

Constitutional Law — The Ceiling

First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Fourteenth. The document that outranks everyone's guilt or innocence.

The war chest

Ramrod 06

Property — Yours, Theirs, Whose

Estates, takings, due process attached to things.

Study the arsenal

Ramrod 07

Legal Writing — The Weapon

Caption, facts, argument, prayer. Write one real document in the Builder and read it out loud.

Open the Builder

Ramrod 08

Evidence — What Comes In

Relevance, hearsay and its exceptions, foundation, objection practice.

Run the drill

Ramrod 09

Criminal Procedure — The Gauntlet

Arrest to arraignment to trial. Frank v. Delaware, Brady, Thompson v. Clark.

Study the arsenal

Ramrod 10

Federal Courts & §1983 — The Sword

28 U.S.C. §1331, 42 U.S.C. §1983, immunities and how to plead around them.

Jurisdiction room

Ramrod 11

Professional Responsibility — The Compass

Candor to the tribunal. You never cite a case you haven't verified. Ever.

Take the pledge

Ramrod 12

Appellate & Amicus Practice — The Voice

The brief, the oral argument, and the most underused seat in American law: friend of the court.

The amicus wing

Mark a ramrod complete only when you've done the work. This school runs on the honor of your own record — like everything else in the law.

The Johnson v. Avery Recommendation

Johnson v. Avery, 393 U.S. 483 (1969): the Supreme Court held that people without lawyers may be helped by people who learned the law without a license — because the alternative is no help at all. That is this school's charter. Complete all twelve ramrods and we will say, on our letterhead and on your performance and attendance record: "Hang on a second — this person is Johnson v. Avery qualified. They're good enough. They pass the test right now. We need advocates like this one — and they may well merit a grant."

12 ramrods remaining · the letter unlocks itself

Where graduates go first

The amicus seat is open.
Almost nobody sits in it.

That friend-of-the-court position is so powerful you have no earthly idea. You don't need a license to ask a court's leave to be heard as amicus — you need knowledge, discipline, and something true to say. If people start picking up the amicus role, things start changing drastically, very quickly. That's not a slogan; that's procedure.
