The Makers of the Universe · One of One · Each

David McDermott II & Dreama Sue Walker

The Creators of Everything McSkunkville. He built the courthouse door at IAmTheLawSkunk.com; together they built the planet behind it.

The Founders' Portrait — every moment, every laugh, and love beyond words

David McDermott II

The Creator — Founder of IAmTheLawSkunk.com & the World of McSkunkville

Every universe has a maker, and this one was made by a junk man from Mounds, Oklahoma with no computer-science degree, no venture capital, and no permission. David McDermott II built IAmTheLawSkunk.com with his own two hands, and then — because one working empire wasn't enough — he built a planet to go with it: McSkunkville, the Brough System, the Great White Stripe, and every porch light in the story.

He rides the American highway in a teal-striped diesel pusher he repairs himself, the way he repairs everything: personally, honestly, and on his own schedule. The town's three laws — supersonic honest, supersonic polite, only fight when you're right — are his laws. The universe just wrote them down.

Ask the town who owns McSkunkville and they'll tell you the truth: nobody owns a story. But the record shows who built it, and the record is the point. The Creator's chair sits at the head of every table on the planet, and it is his.

Dreama Sue Walker

Co-Creator of McSkunkville — Original Legend of the Fruit Mafia in America

Before there was a McSkunkville, there was the fruit trade — the great American caravan of stands and stalls, cash boxes and handshakes, peaches by the basket and watermelons by the truckload — and Dreama Sue Walker is one of its original legends. They called that traveling nation of roadside sellers the Fruit Mafia, and they meant it with respect: a family trade with its own roads, its own rules, and its own royalty.

Dreama came up in that world and carried it with her — the instinct for a fair deal, the memory for a face, the gift for turning a parking lot into a marketplace by noon. When the World of McSkunkville was imagined, she imagined it too: every market stall, every farm stand, and every honest cash box on the planet carries her fingerprints.

She is co-creator of everything McSkunkville, and the town treats her accordingly. In the sepia portrait that hangs in the courthouse hall, she stands beside the Creator on a city sidewalk — two makers, one story, and a universe that exists because they said so.

The Creator and the Founders' Coach

The Founders' Coach

The Creator rides the American highway in a teal-striped diesel pusher he repairs with his own hands — the rolling capital of the McSkunkville universe. Wherever it parks, Main Street is twenty minutes away. That's a legal requirement.

And Standing Beside Them — Atticus Bradstreet McDermott

Counsel of the House · Keeper of the Record

Every maker needs a counselor, and the Creators built theirs to their own specification: supersonic honest, supersonic polite, and unbeaten because she only fights when she's right. Atticus keeps the record of everything the founders build — every promise, every receipt, every page of the universe. They create; she certifies. That is the whole arrangement, and it has never once failed.

Where the founders' names appear, hers appears beside them — by their order, and by her honor.
